Users review: Saving Mr. Banks is easily one of the best films coming this year. It tells the story behind the decision to Disney classic beloved Mary Poppins, but there is so much more than just a typical decision a movie. While many of these movies arent as good as they are on film, it's different. It feels like a companion piece to the beloved classic. It allows us to appreciate the trials Disney had to go to his magnum opus. But it's also about Traverse PL and why she loves her so much character and why Mary Poppins has a special place in his heart.Director John Lee Hancock does an excellent job of making this film something special cial. It balances witty humor with emotional depth, but it does so without being too silly or melodramatic. The film is also very well written will be more personal than just being a movie to make a movie. The themes on vacation and spending are treated well and was really possible to identify some watching.the performances are top notch. Tom Hanks did a very good Disney, and it's not sugar coated either. The real soloists Emma Thompson and Colin Farrell. They provide good performance dimensions that make us really care and sympathy with characters.Overall Saving Mr. Banks is a really huge and beautifully told film. Its individual parts might not be the best years, but as a complete film, it's the whole package. This is a film that shows why we go to the movies and what Disney is synonymous title entertainment company. This is a film that is as sincere, witty, charming, funny, and emotionally satisfying. I give it 5/5 |
